Kidnapping Suspect Arrested After Pursuit Ends in North Hollywood Crash
A man suspected of storming a South LA store with a hammer and dragging a clerk into his car, was captured after a chase in North Hollywood.

LOS ANGELES, CA - A 29-year-old man suspected of kidnapping a woman today from a South Los Angeles convenience store was in custody tonight after a short vehicle chase that ended in North Hollywood.
Officers took Jose Eduardo Gaxiola Caro into custody around 9:30 p.m. following a vehicle pursuit that ended in a crash, according to Officer Liliana Preciado of the Los Angeles Police Department's Media Relations Division.
Officers used a Taser to get Caro into custody, she said. The details of the crash were not immediately available.

Caro allegedly was armed with a hammer about 2:50 p.m. when he entered a store in the 3900 block of Denker Avenue, near Exposition Boulevard, in South Los Angeles, police said.
Caro is suspected of grabbing the 28-year-old woman, who is a clerk at the store, and dragging her out of the store and into his awaiting car before driving southbound from the location, police said.

"The victim has been found and has been taken to a local area hospital for medical evaluation," according to a police statement.
