L.A. Haunted Hayride: Tickets Sales To Begin For 2019 Season
This year's Halloween scare fest at the Griffith Park Old Zoo also is getting a makeover with new haunted attractions. (Be brave!)

LOS ANGELES, CA — For those who enjoy being terrified, circle Friday, Aug. 9 on your calendars.
Discount ticket pre-sales begin at 10 a.m. for the 2019 Los Angeles Haunted Hayride, the ultimate Halloween haunt held at Griffth Park Old Zoo in Los Angeles. And with a complete reimagined revamp of scream-worthy attractions and freaky characters, organizers are promising an "unparalleled haunted experience."
This year's fest starts Saturday, Sept. 28 and for the first time will remain open past Halloween, closing on Saturday, Nov. 2.

Producers from the Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group said a "sizeable investment" went into this year's project, which will transform the Griffith Park grounds into "Midnight Falls, an eerie and mysterious fictitious village set in 1985, where time stands still and it is always Halloween."
The scare zones, mazes and rides will offer such new frights as:

- Midnight Falls Town Square, featuring entertainment, food and beverage booths, a psychic and Midnight Falls townsfolk such as the City Councilman and Pageant Queen lurking in the shadows.
- Midnight Mortuary Haunted House, a dark and ominous funeral parlor at the end of the street and open for tours.
- Roadkill Ranch: An open-air maze on the outskirts of Midnight Falls and inside a forest, where "mysterious ranch hands are responsible for collecting the main highway’s deceased varmints." Don't be surpised if they come bak to life in the haunted maze through a barn, corn fields and hay stacks.
- Trick-or-Treat: Go door-to-door of Midnight Falls homes where ghoulish residents have more tricks than treats.
- Haunted Hayride: Always a crowd favorite, the hayride is "a thrilling adventure of horrors afflicting the town."
- Escape Rooms: Attendees also can join three individually-themed, short-play escape rooms at an additional $5 per game.
Tickets for the 2019 Los Angeles Hayride range from $34.99-$109 per person.
The pre-sale discounts are offered from Aug. 9-16 ($10 off), Aug. 17-23 ($7 off) and Aug. 24-31 ($5 off). Regular prices take effect Sept. 1.
