LA Woman to Star in 'Big Brother'

Austin Matelson, a professional wrestler from Woodland Hills, is one of three LA County residents in the 17th season of "Big Brother."

The 14 houseguests announced today by CBS for the 17th season of “Big Brother” include three who live in Los Angeles.

Austin Matelson is a 30-year-old from Woodland Hills and the professional wrestler known as Judas. His parents were hippies who let him stop going to school before eighth grade, but later received a master’s degree in history.

Da’Vonne Rodgers is a 27-year-old poker dealer who was raised in Inglewood and now lives in Los Angeles. She comes from a religious family. Her mother was a minister and her uncle is a pastor, but when her family was in church and Bible study, she was at the beach or out with her friends.

Rogers’ grandmother was the person who understood her best and the two watched “Big Brother” together. Her grandmother encouraged Parker to apply to be on the show.

Jace Agolli is a 23-year-old professional trainer who lives in Venice Beach. The native of Dunwoody, Georgia surfs, snowboards and skateboards.

‘Big Brother” will begins its 17th season June 24 with a second episode airing June 25. “New twists” to the series will be announced on both June 24 and June 25, according to CBS.

“Big Brother” will regularly air Sundays and Wednesdays at 8 p.m. with the eviction show airing Thursdays at 9 p.m. The winner will receive $500,000.
