LA Zoo Offers Discounts For Items Donated To The Homeless

Gifts such as towels, socks, diapers, and hygiene products brought to the zoo during Thanksgiving week will earn discounted zoo tickets.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Zoo announced Friday that it will offer a discounted ticket price to visitors who donate an item to help the homeless during Thanksgiving week.

The zoo has partnered with L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti's initiative on solving homelessness by sponsoring the donation drive -- which begins on Monday and lasts through Thursday -- for the Skid Row Hygiene Center.

Anyone that donates a listed item at the ticket gate can receive an adult or child general admission ticket for $10. Regular prices are $21 for an adult, $18 for a senior and $16 for children ages 2 to 12.
