LAPD Chases Stolen Prius Through The Valley

The wild chase came to an end near Victory Boulevard with the driver hiding beneath a car surrounded by officers with guns drawn.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The driver of a stolen Pruis led Los Angeles police on a high-speed chase through the San Fernando Valley Tuesday morning.

The wild chase, which involved several near misses, ended when the suspect fled on foot and tried to hide underneath a parked vehicle in Burbank. CBSLA aerial footage of the chase, showed the suspect sliding underneath a parked car and police officers quickly catching up and surrounding the suspect with guns drawn.

The chase ended about 6 a.m. near Victory Boulevard and Mariposa Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The suspect's name was not immediately available for release. It was not immediately clear if a passenger in the Prius was also arrested.
