LAPD: Hit-and-Run Driver in North Hollywood Abandons Injured Passenger

Authorities are searching for a man who fled after a two-vehicle collision in North Hollywood that left his passenger with a serious leg fracture.
The crash at the intersection of Saticoy Street and Whitsett Avenue was reported at 11:54 p.m. Monday, said Officer James Norton of the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.
After the collision, one of the vehicles struck a utility pole, and its driver ran off, abandoning his injured passenger, a man in his 30s who suffered a broken left femur, he said.

The suspect was last seen running northbound on Whitsett Avenue from Saticoy Street, Norton said. He was described as Hispanic, 6 feet 6, 140 pounds, wearing all black clothing.
The other driver involved in the collision complained of pain but was not taken to the hospital, Norton said.
