Cella Gallery throws an 'impromptu block party' where art-lovers and NoHo residents enjoy the art and atmosphere.
Shannon Currie-Holmes and McKenzie Alexander organized a block party Saturday in conjunction with the art gallery opening of two featured artists, Cameron Davis and Aaron Limonick, in a show called "Missed Conceptions: the abandoned children of big business and fine art."
There were also two other situated in recently vacated storefronts on Weddington Street at the Lofts at NoHo Commons, where Cella Gallery's main office is located just west of Lankershim Boulevard.
People saw superhero and science-fiction movie illustrations and other works created for the entertainment industry. There was also music and entertainment sprinkled about the block, from jazz-fusion hosted in a recording studio, to a DJ spinning popular tunes. Video art was also showcased in the normal business space of a video production/post production company.
