Man Dies After Falling Into Trench At Sun Valley Work Site
Los Angeles firefighters were working Friday afternoon to receive the body of the man.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A man died at a construction site in Sun Valley after falling into a trench Friday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
An investigation was underway.
Firefighters and paramedics were sent to the 8400 block of North Glenoaks Boulevard at about 12:20 p.m., said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

"Sadly, the patient was determined dead on scene," Stewart said. "The incident is transitioning to a recovery operation with some LAFD resources being released."
Information on the man's identity was not immediately available. Stewart said that authorities believe he was not a city worker but an employee at a private construction firm. Officials were waiting for confirmation regarding the victim's employment and identity.

Cal/OSHA was notified, and the circumstances of the death were under investigation, Stewart said.
