Patch readers are invited to share their thoughts about the death of Osama bin Laden in our comments section.
Tucked away in a quiet part of North Hollywood Park lies a memorial to the 78 Californians who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.
The memorial was dedicated on Sept. 11, 2002, by the Hollywood Beatification Team and has been a frequent site of ceremonies on the anniversary of the attacks. Every Californian who died is listed on a plaque flanked by white flowers, trees and four concrete benches.
It's a place that invites quiet contemplation. With the news that broke Sunday about the death of Osama bin Laden, the man thought most responsible for the 9/11 attacks, Patch readers are invited to share their thoughts on the news here in the comments section.
