Metrolink Derailment Causes Delays Along Antelope Valley Line

No car toppled to its side in the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m Monday in Pacoima.

Metrolink will replace its trains with buses today along the Antelope Valley Line from Newhall to downtown Burbank because of a noninjury freight train derailment in Pacoima along a stretch of track it shares with Union Pacific.

No car toppled to its side in the incident, which occurred around 10 p.m Monday, said Lt. Robert Davis of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill Station.

A news camera crew reported from the scene that the derailment, involving two cars that came off the track, occurred around San Fernando Road and Sheldon Street. About 50 Metrolink and Union Pacific workers were working this morning to fix the tracks.
