More Police Protests Begin Sunday In Los Angeles County

LOS ANGELES, CA — As the holiday weekend comes to a close amid a sharp rise in the spread of COVID-19, another round of marches, rallies, and other actions against systemic racism and police brutality is on tap across the Southland Sunday.

The nationwide movement sparked by the Memorial Day death of George Floyd at the hands of Minneapolis police now embraces a range of issues as it enters a sixth week.

Events on Sunday's schedule in the Los Angeles area include:

• 11:11 a.m. in Downtown Los Angeles at 555 S. Hill St.
• Noon in Los Angeles from Pico and Redondo boulevards to Pan Pacific Park, 7600 Beverly Blvd.
• Noon in Sherman Oaks at the Sherman Oaks Galleria, 15301 Ventura Blvd.
• 12:30 p.m. in Downtown Los Angeles at Grand Park, 200 N. Grand Ave.
• 2 p.m. in Downtown Los Angeles at Pershing Square, 532 S. Olive St.
• 2 p.m. in Pacoima at 12760 Osborne Ave.
• 2 p.m. in Downtown Los Angeles at City Hall, 200 N. Spring St.
• 2:30 p.m. in Venice at 685 Westminster Ave.
