North Hollywood Man Arrested for Patricide

A 25-year-old man was arrested today for allegedly fatally stabbing his 50-year-old father during a fight in North Hollywood.

The stabbing was reported about 11:30 a.m. in the 5700 block of Fair Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A fight between the suspect and victim escalated to a knifing, according to Officer Mike Lopez of the LAPD’s Media Relations Section.

The older man was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.
