North Hollywood Man Struck By Car And Killed

VALLEY GLEN, CA — Authorities Thursday identified a pedestrian who was fatally struck by a vehicle in the Valley Glen area of the San Fernando Valley.

Tomas Navarrete, 60, of North Hollywood died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday near Whitsett Avenue and Oxnard Street, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver involved stopped at the scene and cooperated with officers. The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
