North Hollywood Teen Found Shot to Death

Police are asking for help finding the person who shot to death a North Hollywood 19-year-old.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA -- The coroner's office Monday released the name of a man found shot to death on the front lawn of a home in Van Nuys.

He was 19-year-old Ian Samueo, Jr. of North Hollywood, according to coroner's Investigator Kristy McCracken.

A witness in the 6400 block of Woodley Avenue called police shortly after 12:30 a.m. Sunday to report hearing gunshots, according to Officer Norma Eisenman of the LAPD's Media Relations Section.

About 20 minutes later, the witness reported the man now identified as Samueo was lying on a front lawn suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, Eisenman said.

LAPD West Valley station detectives asked anyone with information regarding the homicide to call them at (818) 374-7611.
