One Chicken Fest! Community Festival in North Hollywood

Stop by the North Hollywood Park at the corner of Tujunga and Magnolia on Saturday, April 18th between the hours of 10 am to 4 pm to check out the first annual One Chicken Fest!

The idea behind the festival is that everyone, everywhere, can take just a small step in some part of their lives - their “one chicken” - which can make a difference in our community and our world. The festival was founded by husband and wife team Charles and Deirdre Wiley, local North Hollywood residents who wanted to bring together nonprofit groups, city organizations and sustainable, local, or otherwise eco-friendly businesses to help hatch positive change in the community.

FREE Entertainment

One Chicken Fest’s events corner, The Chicken Coop, will be giving free shows and demonstrations throughout the day showcasing local businesses and artists! The Soul Shack Yoga Studio will be giving free Yoga classes to open and close the festival. Also featuring entertainment from singer-songwriter Kris Angelis and soulful duo TwoWay Light.

E-Waste Drive

If you have old electronics like cell phones, televisions, etc., stop by and drop them off at the EMA Massive Action e-waste drive! One Chicken Fest is partnering with Electronic Music Alliance to recycle your old electronics properly and make sure they don’t harm the environment - and that they stop cluttering your life!

Local & Sustainable Cuisine

Food Trucks will be parked on Magnolia in conjunction with One Chicken Fest:

• Find out just how good organic, grass-fed and humane can taste by sampling the food of No Toro Truck Mexican Grill.
• Check out the community-minded and local, coastal-infused cuisine of Vizzi Truck.
• And be sure to indulge in a decadent and guilt-free treat at Divine Dips Vegan Ice Creme Truck!

Community and Environmental Organizations

Come chat with your local elected officials about community concerns. Find out how you can get free help to cut back on your water consumption (and your water bill)! Find out about native plants and how you can incorporate them into your life and landscape. Learn about local transit schedules and how to cut back on transportation costs and stress in your commute! These are just a few of the things you may discover at One Chicken Fest.

This event is totally free, family friendly and open to the public.
