One Dead in North Hollywood Shooting

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA -- A male was killed Saturday in a shooting at a North Hollywood motel, authorities said. The shooting was reported just before 6 p.m. at the Flamingo Motel in the 6100 block of Lankershim Boulevard, a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's North Hollywood Station said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, he said.

Officers were conducting a perimeter search in the area in an effort to locate any suspects, he said.
