Overturned Milk Tanker Blocks 5 Freeway. Go Ahead And Cry

BURBANK, CA — If ever there was reason to cry over spilled milk, it would be a milk tanker overturning on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank, blocking three lanes while crews worked to clean up the milk.

A tanker truck carrying about 6,200 gallons of milk overturned Wednesday on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway in Burbank at about 5:30 a.m. at Burbank Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported. No injuries were immediately reported.

Some of the milk spilled onto the roadway, and a section of guardrail was damaged. The effort to clear the scene was expected to extend until early afternoon, the CHP reported.
