Pedestrian Killed by Amtrak Train

A pedestrian was struck and killed by an Amtrak train today in Chatsworth, authorities said.

The victim died at the scene of the injury, which happened about 1:20 p.m. in the 9300 block of De Soto Avenue, according to Robert Hinojosa of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The circumstances of the death were under investigation.
