Pedestrian Killed on Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood
A woman was killed trying to cross a busy street outside the crosswalk in North Hollywood early Friday afternoon.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A woman was killed early Friday when she was struck by a vehicle in North Hollywood.
The crash was reported at 12:10 a.m. near the intersection of Victory Boulevard and Satsuma Avenue, said an officer at the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Bureau.
The woman, who was estimated to be between the ages of 45 and 55, was pronounced dead at the scene, the officer said. It appeared she had been jaywalking, he added.

The driver of the vehicle that struck her remained at the scene and was cooperating with police.
