Photo of the Week: Rebirth
Photographer Greg Doyle finds signs of rebirth amid the destruction caused by the devastating Sand Fire.

SANTA CLARITA, CA- Photographer Greg Doyle shared this inspiring photo of new life emerging from the ashes of the devastating Sand Fire.
"This is in the Golden Valley Ranch Open Space, and it shows new growth already beginning to sprout," Doyle said.
The Sand Fire was a fierce inferno that burned thousands of acres in just hours last month, claiming one life, destroying 18 homes and forcing 20,000 evacuations in the hills above Santa Clarita. In the end, more than 39,000 acres were charred. Many in the path of the blaze are still working to rebuild their lives. Nature, too, is beginning its recovery.
