PHOTOS: It's Snowing in Valley Village — For 'Parks and Recreation'

Friday has been a rainy, windy and cold day, and people driving down Magnolia Boulevard in Valley Village near the intersection with Whitsett Avenue might have thought for a moment that the weather had gotten really bad when they saw the piles of snow.

But the snow was just part of a filming location for the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, which turned the rainy Valley Village day into a snowy one in Indiana, where the show takes place. Amy Poehler, the star of Parks and Recreation, was in the scene being filmed.

The filming occurred along Magnolia just east of Whitsett in front of the and a couple other businesses located in a strip mall that was built in the 1940s and could very easily pass as a main street in a small Midwestern town.
