Why is it not surprising that Deasy is blind to the problem, Garcia is pitting one group of students against another and Galatzan is reserving comment until she is told what to say? Children in the areas described do need additional resources, but this help should not come at the expense of other students. A much better solution would be to reduce the bloated bureaucracy downtown and use those funds for additional student services.
