Police ID 54-Year-Old Cyclist Killed In North Hollywood

A man was riding his bike Monday evening in North Hollywood when he was struck and killed by a minivan.

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A cyclist killed in a collision with a minivan in North Hollywood was identified Wednesday.

Stanley Digerose, 54, died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 6:35 p.m. Monday in the 12500 block of Strathern Street, according to the coroner's office and the Los Angeles Fire Department. His home town was not known.

Witnesses told police that Digerose was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk, said Officer M. Puno of the Los Angeles Police Department's Valley Traffic Division.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police, Puno said. Neither drugs nor alcohol were believed to have been factors in the crash.
