Police Seek Hit-And-Run Driver Who Killed Wheelchair-Bound Man In NoHo
The driver of a dark-colored sedan stuck a man in a wheelchair on Vineland Avenue Sunday, and police need help finding the driver.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — Police Tuesday sought the public's help to identify a hit-and-run driver who left a wheelchair-bound man dead in North Hollywood.
The suspect was driving a dark-colored sedan southbound on Vineland Avenue at about 2:55 a.m. Sunday when he struck the man who was seated in his wheelchair "in the southbound lanes between Sherman Way and Vanowen Street," according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The sedan fled the scene following the collision. No description of the driver was available.

Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene and pronounced the man dead. His name was withheld pending notification of his next of kin, though the LAPD noted he was in his early 50s.
