NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA – A man suspected of domestic battery was arrested Friday after a pursuit that began in Thousand Oaks ended at a North Hollywood apartment complex. The driver was wanted in connection with a domestic violence report received Thursday, the Ventura County Sheriff's Department told NBC Los Angeles.

The car fled into the Los Angeles area following a nearly 50-mile chase that began in Thousand Oaks and made its way to North Hollywood on the eastbound 101 Freeway, KTLA reported. Ventura County authorities were surrounding the vehicle just after 1:20 p.m., and multiple patrol vehicles were seen parked at an apartment complex in the 5000 block of Fair Avenue, KTLA reported.

The driver pulled into a parking lot at The Gallery apartments in North Hollywood, where deputies had their guns drawn and ordered him to get out of the car – he stayed in his car for about 10 minutes before he surrendered, according to NBC.
