Possible Jumper Talked Down From Light Pole In North Hollywood
LAFD was called in around 11:42 a.m. after reports that a man had climbed a 20-foot light pole and threatened to jump.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A man who climbed onto a 20-foot light pole in North Hollywood was safely talked down by the Los Angeles Fire Department Tuesday afternoon. The incident took place at 5391 N Lankershim Bl, near the Metro North Hollywood Red Line / Orange Line Station.
Firefighters were called in to the scene around 11:42 a.m. after the man was spotted atop the light standard and threatened to jump. At 1:13 p.m., LAFD announced LAPD officers had taken the man into custody to be transported to the hospital.
No other information on the patient was immediately available.
