President Trump And LA Rep. Adam Schiff Trade Twitter Burns

President Donald Trump mocked LA Rep. Adam Schiff as "little" while Schiff made fun of the President's penchant for TV-watching.

BURBANK, CA — Los Angeles Congressman Adam Schiff became the latest person to feud with the President of the United States on Twitter Monday, even provoking President Donald Trump to reuse one of his favorite insults.

Trump isn’t happy with Schiff, the minority party’s ranking House Intelligence Committee member. Schiff is trying to make public a Democratic rebuttal to the the memo Republicans released on Friday impugning federal agents’ motives and methods for investigating a former Trump advisor with Russian ties.

"Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington,” said Trump reusing the pejorative “little” so often used to describe political foes such as Marco Rubio and Kim Jong-un. “Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!" tweeted the president.”

Schiff had a ready response. "Mr. President, I see you've had a busy morning of "Executive Time," he tweeted, mocking the term used by Trump staffers to refer to the morning hours he purportedly spends watching television every day. “Instead of tweeting false smears, the American people would appreciate it if you turned off the TV and helped solve the funding crisis, protected Dreamers or ... anything else."

Trump’s complaints with Democratic lawmakers continued throughout the day. At a rally in Ohio he implied to their stony response to his State of the Union speech was “treason.”

“They were like death. And un-American. Un-American. Somebody said treasonous. I mean, yeah, I guess, why not?” he said, according to CNN. “Can we call that treason? Why not? I mean, they certainly didn’t seem to love our country very much.”
