'Pretty Little Liars' Actor Jailed For Pointing Gun At Neighbor In North Hills

SAN FERNANDO, CA — Brandon William Jones, an actor who had a recurring role on the TV series "Pretty Little Liars" pleaded no contest Monday to a misdemeanor assault with a deadly weapon charge for pointing a gun at his neighbor and was immediately sentenced to six months in jail and three years probation.
Jones, 29, will be allowed to serve those six months on consecutive weekends at a city jail of his own choosing, but will have to pay his own costs of incarceration, according to a court spokeswoman.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Hilleri G. Merritt also ordered Jones to do 30 days of beach clean-up work to fulfill a requirement for community labor hours and complete 26 anger management classes.

The actor will not be allowed to own or handle any firearms or other deadly or dangerous weapons for the term of his probation.
Jones brandished a knife and later pointed a handgun at a neighbor during a dispute on March 24, 2016. Prosecutors said he also showed a handgun during an argument with another neighbor about five months earlier at his North Hills home.

The actor was originally charged with one felony count of assault with a firearm and single misdemeanor counts of exhibiting a deadly weapon and exhibiting a concealable firearm in public. If convicted on those counts, he could have faced more than five years in prison.
Jones is due back in court for a progress report on Nov. 28.
