Recognize the 'Skipper Bandit' Bank Robber?
The FBI is asking for help finding a man responsible for bank robberies throughout the Valley.
The FBI today sought public help to find the so- called Skipper Bandit, wanted for four recent bank robberies or attempted robberies in the San Fernando Valley.
The suspect got his nickname for his habit of wearing a fisherman’s style hat during the crimes, according to the FBI. He usually wears a golf- style shirt.
He is described as white, Hispanic or Armenian, 47-53 years of age, 5 feet 5 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds.

He robbed a Wells Fargo Bank at 2933 Los Feliz Blvd. on Sept. 24, the FBI said.
He tried to rob a Bank of America in Canoga Park on Aug. 27, a Wells Fargo Bank in Toluca Lake on Oct. 15, and a Bank of America in North Hollywood on Oct. 23.

Anyone with information on the suspect was urged to call the FBI at (310) 477-6565.
