Earlier this week, detectives had circulated the video and sought public help in identifying woman and the "suspect" involved in what looked like a kidnapping at about 11:50 p.m. Sunday in the 100 block of West 79th Street.
Witnesses said they saw a man at the wheel of a light-gray four-door sedan with a Texas license plate -- possibly a Chrysler 200 -- drive in reverse on 79th Street and park in the middle of the road immediately after passing by a female pedestrian who was walking eastbound on the south sidewalk of 79th Street.

They said the man got out of the car, picked her up and placed her in the front passenger seat of the sedan and closed the door. She repeatedly tried to open the door before succeeding and jumping out of the car, but was pulled back inside, according to police, who said the car was last seen headed westbound on 79th Street.
The woman could be heard screaming for help, police said.
Anyone with information on the case was urged to call (877) LAPD-247.
