Scanner Report: Busy Tuesday Morning for Car Wrecks, Ambulance Calls
This is the Scanner Report, detailing police and fire events in the San Fernando Valley on Tuesday.

Tuesday
8:13 a.m. Bleeker Street and San Fernando Road, Sylmar
Mission Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a possible "shooting just occurred" at the motel location. A witness reports that the alleged suspects ran into one of the motel rooms. Patrol units are directed to respond "code 3" (emergency response, with lights and sirens).

8:15 a.m. Southbound 5 Freeway at the 405 Freeway split, Sylmar
Los Angeles Fire Department's Light Force 91 has arrived at the scene of a traffic collision on the 5 Freeway. The traffic accident is not a serious injury accident, so Light Force 91 advises LAFD's Operations Command Dispatch (OCD) that they are able to handle the incident without further assistance from the other responding units. OCD radios the cancellation to the other units so they may be available for the next emergency calls.

8:30 a.m. Louise Avenue and Sherman Way, Reseda
LAFD is called to respond to a possible injury traffic accident at the intersection.
8:31 a.m. Whitsett Avenue and Victory Boulevard, North Hollywood
A North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol unit has been flagged down by a witness to a possible injury traffic collision at the intersection of Whitsett Avenue and Victory Boulevard. The patrol unit radios the dispatcher and states that they are not at the intersection but "several blocks away."
The patrol unit also asks the dispatcher to find out if there had been a 911 call regarding the incident. The dispatcher radios back that nobody has called to report the collision yet, so a new incident report is created.
The North Hollywood patrol unit radios that they are en-route to the scene, but "with a delay due to heavy traffic." The dispatcher requests the patrol unit to "advise if an R.A. (rescue ambulance) is needed" when they arrive at the scene.
8:36 a.m. Whitsett Avenue and Victory Boulevard, North Hollywood
The North Hollywood patrol unit has arrived at the scene and finds one of the drivers involved in the traffic incident is already outside of the vehicle, on the "Southeast corner of the intersection." After a quick survey of the scene, the patrol unit reports to the dispatcher that a rescue ambulance is not needed at the scene.
8:53 a.m. 6000 block of Hazeltine Avenue, Van Nuys
Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol units are called to the location of an auto repair shop for a reported "ADW" (assault with a deadly weapon) call involving a "male in a white truck." The caller reports that the man could be "possibly armed with a gun." Patrol units are directed to respond "code 3."
8:55 a.m. 6000 block of Hazeltine Avenue, Van Nuys
The Van Nuys Division dispatcher radios the responding patrol units that the alleged ADW suspect has now fled the scene, and the white truck is seen traveling "eastbound on Bessemer" Street.
8:58 a.m. 5400 block of Sylmar Avenue, Valley Glen
LAFD's Engine 88 and Rescue Ambulance 88 are called to the scene of an "unconscious" person at the residence.
8:58 a.m. Laurel Canyon Boulevard and Dona Pegita Drive, Studio City
North Hollywood Division patrol units are called to investigate a "traffic hazard" on Laurel Canyon Boulevard. The patrol units are directed to respond "code 2" (without lights and sirens).
8:59 a.m. Keswick Street and Winnetka Avenue, Winnetka
LAFD Engine 104, Rescue Ambulance 104 and Light Force 73 are called to the scene of a traffic accident at the intersection.
9:01 a.m. Lindley Avenue and Oxnard Street, Reseda
LAPD Valley Traffic Division units are called to investigate a possible "hit-and-run misdemeanor" incident (a driver flees the scene of a traffic collision with property damage only). The hit-and-run victim's car is described as a gold-colored Toyota Highlander, and the alleged suspect's vehicle is a Toyota Corolla last seen fleeing "westbound on Oxnard" Street.
9:07 a.m. Oxnard Street, North Hollywood
North Hollywood Division LAPD patrol units are informed of a "reckless driver" traveling at a high rate of speed, reported at Oxnard Street in North Hollywood.
9:08 a.m. 6000 block of Hazeltine Avenue, Van Nuys
A Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol unit radios the dispatcher for a "code 4" (no further response is needed to the ADW incident scene, the situation is under control). The alleged ADW suspect is in custody.
9:25 a.m. Woodman Avenue and Vanowen Street, Van Nuys
A Van Nuys Division LAPD patrol unit is requested to investigate the traffic accident where a driver is "refusing to I.D." (exchange insurance information as required by law).
9:42 a.m. Nordhoff Street and Matador Walk, Northridge
West Valley Division LAPD patrol units are called to investigate the scene of numerous drivers making illegal left-turns from a center divider on Nordhoff Street, at a crossing not marked for left turns, near the California State University Northridge campus.
9:44 a.m. Van Nuys Boulevard and Magnolia Boulevard, Van Nuys
LAFD Engine 88 and Rescue 88 are called to help a sick person, reported at the intersection, inside a "dark blue Kia."
9:45 a.m. 18000 block of Burbank Boulevard, Encino
LAFD Rescue Ambulance 909 and Engine 83 are called to the scene of a "fall" (a person is injured in a fall) at the location.
9:51 a.m. Sepulveda Boulevard and Valley Vista Boulevard, Sherman Oaks
Light Force 88 and Rescue Ambulance 83 are called to the scene of a "person down" (a person is found on the ground, unable to get up) at the location.
9:53 a.m. Titus Street and Van Nuys Boulevard, Panorama City
Mission Division LAPD patrol units are called to the scene of a "domestic violence" incident reported near the intersection. The person reporting will direct the police to the alleged suspect.
9:54 a.m. Roxford Street and Foothill Boulevard, Sylmar
LAFD Engine 91 and Rescue 75 are dispatched to the scene of a "person down" at the intersection.
10:00 a.m. Lankershim Boulevard and Cantara Street, Sun Valley
LAFD Rescue 77 is sent to the scene to help an "unconscious person" at the intersection.
