The LAUSD forces parents who go to mediation over special education issues to sign confidentiality clauses so that they cannot tell other parents what programs are available to assist their children. When they lock away teachers in “teacher jail” they prohibit them from contacting anyone to tell them of their plight. Now they refuse to reappoint Stuart Magruder to the School Construction Bond Oversight Committee because he dared to disagree with using construction bonds to purchase iPads.
The public needs to put an end to this policy of enforcing silence upon anyone who finds themselves in disagreement with Tamar Galatzan and the rest of the school board. Our district is meant to educate students so they are prepared for the future not benefit her corporate handlers. It is time for a change.
