NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A big rig crash shut down the northbound Hollywood (170) Freeway in the North Hollywood area Wednesday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The freeway was closed between Burbank and Victory boulevards. The accident happened shortly after noon. According to the California Highway Patrol, a collision involving five to six vehicles ended with a jackknifed big rig that spilled a large amount of oil onto the roadway. By 2:30 p.m., the CHP reopened most of the northbound lanes of the Hollywood (170) Freeway between Burbank and Victory boulevards.
