Small Brush Fire Scorches Griffith Park
A small grass and light vegetation fire burnt near the Griffith Observatory Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — A small brush fire scorched just a tiny patch of brush near the Griffith Observatory in Griffith Park thanks to aggressive efforts by the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Ground crews and helicopters were on the scene quickly to battle the blaze, which scorched a 10' x 10' patch of brush near Griffith Observatory, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Brian Humphrey. The fire was first reported at 11:10 a.m.
