Small Brush Fire Snuffed Out In Van Nuys
A small brush fire burned less than an acre early Thursday morning,
VAN NUYS, CA — Firefighters tackled an early-morning brush fire in the Van Nuys area Thursday before the Santa Ana winds could blow the blaze out of control.
The blaze scorched less than an acre in the 5600 block of North Woodley Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department. It broke out just after 5 a.m. The blaze broke out as communities and firefighters across the Southland remain on edge, bracing for a Santa Ana Wind storm that ratcheted up the fire danger to critical levels.
No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
