Summer is Here ... And So Are Public Pools!

54 city-run summer pools are open starting today through August, including the pools at the North Hollywood Recreational Center and Valley Plaza Park.

Hours are subject to change, but the park's Web site says open swim time at both pools is scheduled for 1- 5 p.m. on weekends and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday through July 3. The hours change on July 4 and again on August 22.

There are also plenty of organized activities, such as Novice Swim Team, Inner-Tube Water Polo, Novice Synchronized Swimming and plenty of swimming lessons, as well as scheduled lap time. (See the attached PDFs for all details).

Open swim time is free for kids and seniors and $2.50 for adults ($2 with a library card).
