Sun Valley Couple Beaten, Hog Tied in Home-Invasion Robbery
The suspects may have been trying to jump a wall to burglarize one of the businesses next to the home, police said

LOS ANGELES, CA — A man and his wife were tied up and beaten Sunday during an early morning home invasion in Sun Valley.
At about 4:10 a.m., the man heard noises coming from the backyard of his home in the 8700 block of Bradley Street and spotted four men whom he believed were trying to break into neighboring businesses, according to Sgt. Cueto of the Los Angeles Police Department's Foothill station.
When the man went outside to confront the intruders, two of the suspects pulled out guns and forced him back into the house, Cueto said.

The suspects, who wore masks and were dressed in all black, used tape to tie up the man, his wife and his mother, police said.
The suspects took a purse, a wallet, a cellphone and some jewelry, police said.

During the robbery, the man was hit in the back of the head with a pistol, and the wife was kicked in the back of the head, Cueto said.
The couple's three children were inside the house during the robbery, but were not harmed, Cueto said.
The couple was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
Descriptions of the suspects were not immediately available. Authorities said two suspects spoke Spanish and the other two spoke an unknown foreign language.
