Suspect Identified in San Fernando Valley Pastor Attack

Police are looking for a a 53- year-old Pacoima man suspected of attacking the pastor San Fernando Valley's Faith Center.

SAN FERNANDO, CA — Police Friday released the name and image of a 53- year-old man suspected of attacking the pastor of the Faith Center in San Fernando, inflicting serious injuries.

Rudy Trujillo was attacked about 11 a.m. Wednesday in the 700 block of North Maclay Avenue, near his church, according to the San Fernando Police Department.

Trujillo's injuries required hospitalization, according to San Fernando police Lt. Nichole Hanchett.

Joshua Trujillo told KCAL9 a former parishioner attacked his father, striking him in the head and knocking him to the ground and resulting in a broken hip.

The suspect has been identified as Henry Dominguez Chacon of Pacoima, Hanchett said.

Chacon was identified through witness interviews and video taken of the attack, the lieutenant said.

"We are currently in the process of filing criminal charges with the District Attorney's office," Hanchett said.

Chacon is Hispanic, 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighs about 210 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Police want him to contact them so he can provide a statement.
