Swordsman Shot And Killed By Police In North Hollywood
Police were called to intervene in a dispute between neighbors arrived to find one armed with a sword-like weapon, according to the LAPD.
NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CA — A North Hollywood man armed with a "sword-type weapon" during a dispute with a neighbor was shot and killed by police Wednesday morning.
The officer-involved shooting happened in the 6400 block of Elmer Avenue at about 10:45 a.m. Wednesday when officers were called to respond to a report of a neighbor dispute. Responding officers arrived to find a man armed with some type of a sword, at which point an officer-involved shooting occurred," according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, and officers recovered the weapon, police said.
No officers were injured during the incident.
