Father Claims Toddler Found Wandering Near Van Nuys Blvd: Updated

The father of a two-year-old boy found wandering along a busy street in the San Fernando Valley has come forward to police: UPDATED.

LOS ANGELES (CNS) - The father of a 2-year-old boy found wandering near Van Nuys Boulevard Monday morning contacted Los Angeles police to claim him. The father is being interviewed by authorities, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said.

The boy was found at about 6 a.m., near Van Nuys Boulevard and Woodman Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Authorities released a picture of the boy in hopes that someone would recognize and claim him.

The boy speaks Spanish only. He is about 30 inches tall and weighs about 35 pounds, according to police. He is Hispanic with a medium complexion. He was wearing a blue T-shirt, blue shorts and white socks.
