Valley Charter Middle School Parent Information Session and Tour

Do you believe that children learn best when they are asked to solve real world problems? Do you believe that children succeed in school when caring teachers, who take the time to get to know every student, work together with parents? So do we. We are Valley Charter Middle School, a tuition-free, public charter school located in Van Nuys.

Students at our school thrive in a project-based classroom, where the needs of the whole child—academic, social, and emotional—are addressed in a setting that is both nurturing and challenging. Our small class sizes of 32 students (far lower than the average for LAUSD), along with teaching assistants in every class, set our school apart from traditional public schools. We value a strong academic program, a strong, diverse community, and creative, engaging teachers who truly love middle school students.

If you are reconsidering whether your child’s middle school is right for them, we invite you to come see what makes us stand out. Our school currently has a limited number of spaces available for immediate enrollment of students in grades 6, 7, and 8.

Parent Information sessions will be held on Monday, September 21 and Thursday, October 1 at 9:30 a.m. on our campus at 6952 Van Nuys Blvd. Van Nuys, 91405 (behind First Lutheran Church). At the session, you’ll meet the principal, hear from student and parents, learn more about the philosophy of the school, and have a chance to take a campus tour.
