Valley Glen House Fire Sends Bullets Flying
Heat from a Valley Glen house fire caused ammunition to discharge Tuesday.

LOS ANGELES, CA — The heat from a fire that damaged a house in the Valley Glen area of Los Angeles Tuesday caused some ammunition to discharge, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 6600 block of North Ampere Avenue about 11:30 a.m. extinguished the flames in 25 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
There was no immediate word on what sparked the blaze, which also damaged some propane tanks in the backyard of the residence, the LAFD reported.
