Valley Man Charged In Stabbing Death Of Neighbor
Police believe a 39-year-old San Fernando Valley man stabbed his neighbor to death during an argument Sunday night.
SAN FERNANDO, CA — A man who allegedly stabbed his neighbor to death during a dispute at their Panorama City apartment complex was charged Tuesday with murder.
Cesar Tellez, 39, is set to be arraigned in a San Fernando courtroom April 4 on the murder charge stemming from the death of Francisco Lazaro Maldonado, 57.
The stabbing was reported about 8 p.m. Sunday at 8519 Willis Ave., between Roscoe Boulevard and Parthenia Street.

The two men were arguing when "one guy went into his apartment and got a knife and stabbed the other," according to Los Angeles police Officer Dennis Orris.
Maldonado was pronounced dead at the scene. The suspect fled, but police quickly took him into custody, Orris said.

Tellez is being held in lieu of $2 million bail, according to jail records.
