The council voted not to support the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s latest L.A.-to-San-Francisco bullet train proposal, citing the project’s higher-than-expected construction costs. Though the state transit agency released a revised plan Monday which set the price lower, the NCVV still rejected the $68.4 billion proposal, stating the decreased cost still did not hit the amount originally approved by voters.
