Wat Thai Buddist Temple in North Hollywood Celebrates Thai New Year This Weekend

The is celebrating the Thai New Year festival of “Songkran” this Saturday and Sunday. 

This is one of 12 major celebrations the temple hosts each year, which are open to the public and feature authentic Thai food and music, as well as a closer look at the fascinating Wat Thai temple and the monks who live there.

If you haven't been to the Wat Thai, take a look at the attached video, which was shot in October during the celebration of the Org Pansa, which is the end of the rainy season.

There will be an open market with authentic Thai Food avalible, live cultural Thai dances and music. Parking will be provided at Kiser Hospital with a complementary shuttle ride to the temple.
