Who Needs to Train for a Marathon when You're Matt Damon?

While the rest of us were resting up for a taxing Super Bowl Sunday of beer and nachos, Oscar winner-Matt Damon spontaneously ran the Surf City Marathon, because that’s what you do when you’re Matt Damon.

As first reported by The Orange County Register, the “Martian“ star arrived in Huntington Beach after a late night at the Directors Guild of America Awards in Los Angeles. Getting just a few hours of sleep, he wasn’t sure he was up to the task Sunday morning.

“I was on the fence this morning. I woke up and was like I don’t know (about this),” he told the newspaper. “Once I got going, I was ok...My wife wanted to do it. I’ve been working out of town for the last couple weeks so I was in no position to say no to her. For not training, I think we did well.”
