Why is the NoHo Commons Digital Billboard Still On?
Despite a recent court order to shut off many digital billboards in L.A., a local one is properly permitted to operate.

Seventy-seven digital billboards owned by Clear Channel Outdoor were forced to shut off by 5 p.m. on Monday which prompted one reader to ask why is the one atop the NoHo Commons still on?
That's because it's not part of the chunk of billboards part of a 2006 agreement approved by the L.A. City Council later found by a Superior Court judge to be illegal.
Instead, the NoHo Commons' billboard, which is owned by Clear Channel and displays advertisements for upcoming movies and television shows, was properly permitted through an independent process, according to the city.
