Boy Injured In Shooting Near Valley Middle School
One person was injured in a shooting near a San Fernando Valley middle school Wednesday afternoon.
LOS ANGELES, CA — A shooting investigation was underway Wednesday near a San Fernando Valley middle school in North Hills, according to police.
Officers responded just after 3 p.m. Wednesday to the 15300 block of Plummer Street, just east of the 405 Freeway to reports of a possible shooting, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers found a 16-year-old boy with a gunshot wound at the scene, and he was rushed to hospital in serious condition, KTLA reported.

The shooting occurred near Sepulveda Middle School, but the shooting was not on the campus, police told the station. The school was placed on lockdown.
