Lancaster Man Killed in Motorcycle Collision With Truck on Golden State Freeway: UPDATED
One person was killed in an early Tuesday crash in Granada Hills.

GRANADA HILLS, CA - A 53-year-old Lancaster man was killed Tuesday when his motorcycle collided with a truck on the Golden State (5) Freeway in Granada Hills.
The accident was reported at 4:29 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Balboa Boulevard, said Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle was in the carpool lane when it slammed into the truck, said Josh Greengard, a public information officer with the California Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist, whose name was withheld pending notification of his family, was pronounced dead at the scene, Stewart said.
The CHP's Newhall office asked anyone who saw the crash to call investigators at 661-295-5590.
