3 Officers Injured After 2 Police Cars Crash: Authorities
The officers, whose vehicles crashed while en route to a crime scene, were taken to the hospital, police said.
LOS ANGELES — Three officers were injured after two police vehicles crashed Saturday in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said.
Police had been pursuing a possible intoxicated driver in Echo Park and requested backup after several people ran out of the car that law enforcement had been chasing, according to Officer Norma Eisenman.
Police responding to provide backup at the scene were in the 8300 block of North Wilbur Avenue in Reseda around 10:25 p.m. when their vehicles crashed, authorities said. Three officers suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital, according to Eisenman, who said they have since been released.

The suspected intoxicated driver was taken into custody, Eisenman said.
